FROM THE ARTIST: I've always wanted to use the symbol of the eye: it's a classic. historic and cross-cultural with many ascribed powers and meanings. The larger eye is influenced by Egyptian art as well as mid-century modern design (e.g.. George Nelson's Eye Clock). Creating this eye felt like making a small scale sculpture. It's elegant but also quite a powerful. a protective eye.
